Who were the Sons of liberty?
There were many citizens around the colonies that formed groups called Sons of Liberty. They could be found in almost all of the 13 colonies. They burned dummies, destroyed houses, and cowed potential stamp distributors. The Sons of Liberty that is most famous was the one formed in Boston and lead by Samuel Adams. They had many of the citizens on their side including those who opposed the Stamp Act, or simply just the British. The Sons of Liberty were the ones to perform the Boston Tea Party. They held meetings in the town to plan these events. The Sons of Liberty were one of the contributing factors to the start of the Revolutionary War.
